OS X -- Acrobat Reader or PostView as helper app (Read 1533 times)

atstarr Ex Member	OS X -- Acrobat Reader or PostView as helper app Jun 11^th, 2003, 8:28am Is it possible in OS X 10.2.x and IE 5.2 to have one click opening of .pdf files, either with external helper or plugin? When I go to associate .pdf with either Acrobat Reader or PostView, they are dimmed so I can't select them. I have to manually save the .pdf and open it from finder.

Sounds like you may have issues with some of your preference files or their permissions. Have you tried deleting preferences and/or fixing your permissions using the Disk Utility? Or have you tried a utility such as Cocktail that can clear system and application caches?

Other than that, http://www.schubert-it.com/pluginpdf/ may be worth a try. It is a wonderful, fast PDF plugin that I have on deck to add to the Orchard.
