Password keeper?
Jul 23rd, 2005, 2:46pm

Hi

I just got my new Mac laptop after many years of pcs & am looking for a utility to store passwords in.
I used to use passkeeper on my pc which was great for safely storing my multitude of passwords.
I hope someone can suggest a Mac equivalent.

Thanks Pat

Well, there's a free utility with Mac OS X called "Keychain Access" that stores passwords for many popular applications automatically, and it can be used to organize other passwords as well.

If that doesn't work to your liking and you don't mind spending a bit of money, there is probably no better password organizer for the buck than SplashID, which can be used with or without a handheld device, and which has a nice Mac OS version:
