PowerTicker (formerly MacTicker, and also formerly commercial software from Galleon Software) is a simple Internet application that lets you view the free stock market information provided online by financial Web sites around the world. The downloads will act as 10-day demos for non-registered users, and registration costs $49.95. The sources page includes lots of up-to-date "source files" to allow PowerTicker customers to quickly add new sources and keep their copy of the software up-to-date.

While no information is available regarding what's new in version 2.7.3 (presumably, it's a bugfix release), version 2.7 added/changed the following:

• Added an explicit 'Check for Updates' menu item.
• Added a new 'Update Visible Windows' command.
• Many new currencies have been added.
• EU Currencies that use the Euro have been removed.
• The Portfolio window and layout has been resized since new monitors have much more space.
• Changed several command keys.
• Added a background on QuickQuote, Currency Converter, and Summary for better visibility of quotes.
• If Currency Converter and QuickQuote are displayed on startup, they will also be updated (if set).
• The NordicGrowth Quoter has been fixed and updated
• The Yahoo! US quoter will now update other non-North American exchanges.
• The limit for the demo is now 20 days instead of 10 (if you own PowerTicker, doesn't apply).
